United has round-trip flights from Houston (IAH) to Sydney or Melbourne (SYD/MEL) for $701-$716. Flights from February to September. July Blackout. 5-day minimum stay required. An Australian ETA (a Tourist Visa) is required for US Citizens.

Note: Nonstop flights to Sydney usually cost about $1600. While flights to Melbourne with stops usually cost about $1100.
