Right in time for the season of sakura, round-trip flights from Houston (IAH / HOU) to Tokyo, Japan (NRT) are $886 right now. American is the carrier.
I rarely get to write about a good Tokyo deal, because most of the time there isn’t a flight for less than $1000 with an itinerary that isn’t dreadful. It’s one of my favorite travel destinations, especially during the dates in the example below due to it being cherry blossom season.
This fare has one stop. Compared to the non-stop United flight out of IAH, you’ll spend about 2 and a half more hours in transit. However, the non-stop flight is A LOT more expensive than this one though; it costs about $1,536.
