Hot on the heels of Korean Air’s upcoming non-stop route from Houston (IAH) to Incheon (ICN) this May, Air China will increase the number of flights from Houston (IAH) to Beijing (PEK) route from 4 flights per week to daily; a capacity increase of 42%.
This route change goes into effect starting today March 30th. Prices to Beijing for a flight out tomorrow are $680 right now. Ridiculously low compared to what it normally goes for, (about $1000).
Competition is good. This should give us more routing options to that region while also decreasing ticket prices.
