If you’re feeling lucky, flights from Austin (AUS) to Las Vegas (LAS) are going for $110*. Tickets are non-stop, round-trip, leaving on either a Sunday or Monday, and returning on a Thursday or Friday. I looked to see if there were any good weekend deals, but… no dice.
*Carrier is Allegiant. If you’re not familiar with them, they’re similar to Spirit Airlines meaning that they will charge you a fee for checked bags, carry-on bags, and printing your boarding pass at the airport. These fees can be significant, but they can be avoided. If you need to check luggage and also bring a carry-on bag, then this deal will probably not be worthwhile for you.
You should familiarize yourself with [Allegiant’s fee structure] and their [baggage policy] before booking this.
Personal items that do not exceed 7″H x 15″W x 16″D such as laptop bags, purses, messenger bags, and briefcases will not be charged a carry-on bag fee. I personally use a messenger bag when traveling on cut-rate budget airlines to get around paying any fees.
It’s a nickle and dime operation for sure, but if you play your cards right you can get out to Vegas on the cheap.
