There is a really good fare to Jakarta, Indonesia (CGK). Round-trip flights from Houston (IAH) or Austin (AUS) are $975. Fare rules contain a stopover component.

Stopover rules here:

  • 2 STOPOVERS PERMITTED ON THE PRICING UNIT – 1 IN EACH DIRECTION AT USD 100.00 EACH. NONE IN GUAM.

I won’t go into detail on constructing an itinerary with stopovers, it is covered in our [Budget Travel Tips] article here: [How to use stopover rules when buying airfare].

There’s lots of opportunity to put those two stopovers to use here. Jakarta is almost of the perfect pivot point for most of Southeast Asia.
