Today the cheap fares that are coming out of Austin are all fantastic. Delta has flights from Austin (AUS) to Oakland (OAK) or San Jose (SJC) at $200 roun-dtrip with 1-stop. Those of you that weren’t able to get [Cheap Flights: Austin to San Francisco $227 r/t nonstop] now have another shot at getting out there. Getting to San Francisco from Oakland (OAK) airport is pretty trivial. Jump on the BART.

Regular readers of this blog already know that I will often use Austin (AUS) as a way to break Houston (IAH) hub-captivity.  You can regularly shave off $100 or more by taking the drive.

Take the drive to Austin and save $137. Sounds good to me.
