Air Canada / United have cheap airfare from Houston (IAH) to Istanbul, Turkey (IST). Round-trip flights with a short layover in Toronto (YYZ) are $652. Unfortunately there is no stopover component available in the fare rules.
- Note: Air Canada “L” fare earns 25% accrual for travel between Houston and Toronto and earns 100% between Toronto and Istanbul. So make sure all your Air Canada flight segments are not from Houston to Canada to get full mileage accrual. It is possible to earn 100% mileage accrual if you pay attention to which carrier is flying which segments.
