Update: This route is perpetually priced low if you view it from a pure CPM basis. Therefore, I’m going to quit updating the exact prices and just leave it on the deal list indefinitely. This route is almost always in the range of $800 – $900, and it has a free stopover in either Amsterdam or Paris depending on if you fly the inbound or outbound segment on KLM or Air France. If Delta / KLM or Air France don’t have it on sale within that price range, then United will probably have it or British Airways will have it. The British Airways route allows a free stopover in London.
I will not be sending out any notifications unless this route prices under $830.
Delta and KLM have cheap flights from Houston (IAH) to New Delhi, India (DEL) for $829. Airfare is round-trip and has a short layover in Amsterdam (AMS).
The fare rules should allow a free stopover in Amsterdam (airport tax not included), but I’m having a hard time finding the dates that will work with it. What this would allow you to do, is spend several days (or weeks) in Amsterdam before catching your connecting flight to New Delhi. I’m sure this will be appealing to those who like multi-city itineraries.
