United has discount airfare from Austin (AUS) to Oslo, Norway (OSL) for $641. Flights are round-trip with a short layover in Newark (EWR). Very limited flight availability. See Flight Details for working date pairs.
Use this fare to get to Europe, then buy regional flights or trains to the places you want to check out. For example, you can do Oslo (OSL) to London (LGW) on Norwegian Airlines for about $100 USD. Another interesting side-trip would be Amsterdam (AMS); again, about $100 on Norwegian.
Fare has an interesting stopover rule:
- Two stopovers allowed on the pricing unit, one each direction in Europe for $100 each. However, I wasn’t able to put anything interesting together with it. I’ll probably give it a shot later on today.
