I’m not sure why there has been such fierce competition for this route this year, but it’s been constantly on sale. This time Southwest is offering nonstop, round-trip flights from Houston (HOU) to Chicago (MDW) for a ridiculous $88 ($44 each way). Fare is reversible and is available for midweek flights into the middle of June.
