Note: Lufthansa “Light Fares” allow for 1 carry-on bag with a maximum weight restriction of 18-lbs. This will probably not be enough weight for those of you who wish to do a carry-on only trip. You can avoid seat selection fees by accepting the randomly assigned seat at the gate.
Note: Connections on Air Canada require an extra security check in Canada. If possible, connect in the United States.
United and other Star Alliance members are offering round-trip flights from Houston (IAH) to Athens, Greece (ATH) for $709. Try to fly your segments on United and Aegean if you’re wanting the most mile accrual.

United and Swiss have cheap round-trip flights available from Austin (AUS) to Moscow (DME) for $605. Itinerary has two layovers. No discount fare on Friday through Sunday. This fare has an awesome stopover rule, two free, one in each direction. 🙂
