United has round-trip flights from Houston (IAH) to Madrid, Spain (MAD) starting at $663 with a connection. Flights from January to March 16th. Most flights depart on Sundays. This destination usually prices from $923 to $1500.
Note: Turkish Airlines has flights for $622, but with long layovers and no mileage accrual. We suggest paying a bit extra for the United flights.

Turkish Airways is having a sale to a lot of Destinations in Europe. Flights from Houston (IAH) to Berlin (TXL) are $623 with a connection in Istanbul (IST). Flights January to April. Connection times are only about 2-hours. If the dates you select have longer connection times, you’ll probably need to try different dates and departure times in your search.
Other destinations are being offered by Turkish, some have long connection times in Istanbul. The fare allows a free stopover in Istanbul, so if you want to make Istanbul a side-trip, you can set it up as multi-city booking and spend a week in Berlin then a week in Istanbul before flying home.

Fare class W has zero mileage accrual. Layover times will be between two to four hours. If you see anything longer than that, select different dates or flight times.

Note: Mile accrual will differ depending on which alliance partner you fly. There is zero mileage accrual on Turkish or Lufthansa when crediting back to United with a K class fare.
Delta / KLM are also offering round-trips for about $650; a competitive price to this destination.
