WestJet opened their new route between Calgary and Houston two weeks ago, on August 8th. Prices will probably stay low while United and WestJet fight for market share.
Note: Of all the booking sites, Travelocity and Expedia seem to price this at $268 instead of $299. You can save a bit of extra cash by using them instead of any other site.
