JetBlue is having a One Way, One Day sale. Flights from Houston Hobby (HOU) to New York (JFK) with the discount fare are only available for Leap Day, February 29th for $29. Sale today only.
This is a good deal, since the return trip costs $117. A round-trip works out to be about $146.

FYI: Flights from Dallas are $80 Nonstop round-trip, so it may be worth the drive for the cheaper price and better routing on AA.

Keep in mind that Delta now has an inferior revenue based awards program. You’ll get more value by booking the American flight since they don’t rip you off on miles like Delta does.

US Airways is offering great discount airfare from Houston (IAH) to New York (LGA / JFK). Flights are $150 round-trip. Fare allows Saturday departures and Monday returns, good for extended weekends in NYC. Fare is reversible. Fare is available into December, but there is a blackout for Holiday and New Years.

Delta is offering round-trip flights from Houston (IAH) to New York / Newark (EWR) for $204 with one short layover each direction. Airfare allows departures on Friday and Saturday; days which aren’t usually available on discount tickets. If you’re wanting to put together an extended weekend in New York for cheap, this is a good opportunity with lots of availability.
