Delta has round-trip flights from Houston (IAH) to Oakland (OAK) for $165 with a connection. Flights April to May. Extended Weekends available.

Nonstop Spirit fares are also available for about -$30 cheaper, but those fares will cost more once you add in bag fees.

It’s possible to ride the BART into San Francisco.

American Airlines has “basic economy” round-trip flights from Houston (IAH/HOU) to Oakland (OAK) for $105 with a connection. $53 each-way. Flights from February to April. Mostly weekdays. Origin/Destination reversible. “Regular Economy” fare is available for +$60 more.

Note: Oakland and San Francisco are connected via BART (light-rail).

Note: Carry-on bag is allowed for free. Checked bags cost +$30 each-way. Seats are randomly assigned for free prior to boarding if you don’t pay to pick one. If you have an AAdvantage credit-card you can avoid bag fees.
