[08/10/2018 @ 3:03 PM] Rome is matched by KLM with more availability. All other destinations are gone.
American and British Airways have round-trip flights from Houston (IAH) to Rome, Milan, or Venice (FCO/MXP/VCE) for $476-$586. Flights from September to October. 7-day minimum stay required. Expect prices to fluctuate by +/- $20.
Note: Carry-on bag is allowed for free, but checked-bags will cost about +$60 each-way. If you’re checking a bag, it will make more sense to upgrade into “Regular Economy” for +$45 each-way, which includes a free checked-bag and also a carry-on.
Note: Avoid any fares that are marked as a split cabin “Basic Economy/Economy” on the domestic segments. Those domestic segments will not allow for a free carry-on, and frankly, that’s more of a hassle than it’s worth. Instead, select the routes that either have all segments listed as “Basic Economy” or ones that connect in Europe, such as the flights on BA. Those segments will give you free overhead access in “Basic”. (See screenshots in the full blog post for examples on this)
