We aren’t seeing any special offers for this card at this time but we will send out a notification the next time there is a good bonus miles offer for these cards.

Here is the history of previous offers:

  • You should compare any current and future offers on this card to these previous offers to see if you’re getting a good deal.
  • Oct 2024 – ($300 statement credit + 60,000 bonus points after $4,000 in purchases in the first 3-months of card membership) this is similar in value to 90,000 points if you value 1$ in cash being worth 100 points. Some of you will get less value from cash than points if you do point transfers into Hyatt, United, or Southwest instead.
  • May 2024 – 75,000 bonus points after $4,000/spend in first 3-months of membership.
  • May 2023 – 80,000 bonus points after $4,000/spend in first 3-months of membership.
  • You may be able to get a higher point offer by applying in-person at a local Chase branch office in person. Those offers usually have higher spending requirements. Previous in-person offers were 10,000 higher than then online offer, but had a $6,000 spending requirement.

Here is the current offer:

  • Earn 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

There are a few things to point out about this card:

  • I use the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card to transfer points to airline and hotel programs. This gives me flexibility on which airlines and hotels I use for reward travel.
  • In my opinion, the Sapphire cards are some of the best cards to hold as a traveler. I personally use Ultimate Rewards points to transfer into Hyatt, United, and Southwest; those three partners work well with where I’m located and Hyatt has extremely good point redemption options.
  • This card has an annual fee of: $95
  • With Chase, you are likely to be denied if you have opened 5 or more cards with ANY bank within the past 24 months. Chase business cards don’t count towards the 5 card rule, but if you try to apply for one after you have opened 5 or more cards, you will likely be denied. If you are planning to apply for multiple cards, you should consider opening Chase business cards first, then Chase personal cards, and finally any other cards with any other bank.
  • If you get denied and you have good credit, call their reconsideration hotline: 1-888-270-2127. Calling may not change the outcome, but there is a chance it will. You’ll also be able to get better insight in why your application was denied.
